As I reflect on the last class, I actually am reflecting how I have grown as a writer, how all of us as grown to appreciate good writing, and how our group has connected through our writing. I have grown to appreciate the time and effort put into writing a solid thesis and then supporting that thesis with research. I feel that I have grown and refined my own writing skills. APA has become my friend and I use it so much to write my papers that I almost feel like I need to cite it!
This last class proved that we all interpret topics in education differently. I thoroughly enjoyed the oral presentations from the cohort. Although we had peer edited with these papers, we had not seen everyone’s papers…so the oral presentations helped us to really see how the topics for our position papers were interpreted by each of us. It was interesting that one interpretation could vary so much from another person’s perspective. Yet, both positions were clearly stated and supported. This evidenced how we have grown in our writing and are further capable of expressing our written ideas into verbal showcases of our thoughts.
It was great to peer review with the other cohorts this time. I think this helps us all connect across the learning groups. Even the video conferencing went better this time as it seemed that we were all more relaxed across the groups. We are all feeling the same pressures of completing our last assignments for the semester and we are all experiencing the relief that we have made this far!
