EDLP 715 – Blog 1

IGGRANT

I was a little apprehensive about EDLP 715; this would be my first big test of scholarly writing in years. However, the class was well organized and put me at ease.  I greatly appreciated the rubrics, anchor paper, and graphic organizer given to assist with writing. Having the opportunity to start a writing prompt and our peers giving us reflective feedback gave us the opportunity to see what was ahead for the remainder of the semester.

My LLI Sequencing is my highest “use first” at 31.  The way the class was structured made me feel secure because the agenda for the day and expectations were laid out in sequential steps.   This class will make it easier for me to enhance and improve my writing skills. Sometimes when writing scholarly we tend to procrastinate; however, EDLP 715 has set the stage for self-discovery in my writing as I continue to journey through the Ed.D. program.
