Many of my classmates have completed the Formative Assessment 1 and, like me, they are very relieved to have this project behind us. I am, however, grateful that the Formative Assessment is a part of the program. I did not see the point of the WordPress site when the idea was rolled out to the class and I struggled with making sense of how it was to look and what benefit it was to serve me as a student.
Well, things are much clearer now. As I prepared for the FA1 I realized that my thoughts about my career and the changes I have made along the way had become organized and visible. For the first time, I can actually “see” my path instead merely visualizing it. I now a have a physical map of where I have been that includes the things that I am involved with in any of my professional roles and, more importantly, I can start to see the path to my future more clearly. I cannot envision ever letting the site end with the program. I believe it is here to stay!
I couldn’t agree more! While I have not yet had my “official” FA1 review, I think that I, too, am finally starting to get it.
Isn’t it funny how looking backward helps you see what is actually ahead?
